Upon your arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari representative and transferred to your hotel.
After checking in, settle into your comfortable room and take some time to relax after your journey. Johari Rotana is a five-star hotel in the heart of Dar es Salaam, offering contemporary rooms, dining facilities, a swimming pool, spa, and wellness facilities, making it an excellent place to rest before your safari adventure begins.
The remainder of the day will be spent at leisure as you prepare for your exciting Southern Tanzania safari starting the following morning.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Julius Nyerere International Airport for your light aircraft flight to Nyerere National Park, one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife destinations.
Upon arrival, you will meet your safari guide and begin your journey into the wilderness. You will be transferred towards Roho ya Selous, situated in the heart of the park’s core game-viewing area overlooking the beautiful Lake Nzerakera.
After settling into your comfortable safari tent, enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the magnificent views surrounding the camp. You will then have time to relax before afternoon tea.
Later, embark on your first exciting game drive through Nyerere National Park. The park is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including elephant, giraffe, buffalo, lion, hippo, crocodile, leopard, and one of Tanzania’s important populations of African wild dogs.
As the sun begins to set, return to camp for dinner and an evening surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Rise early to enjoy breakfast before setting out for another memorable day exploring the extraordinary wilderness of Nyerere National Park.
Today, you have the opportunity to choose from a variety of safari experiences depending on your interests and the day’s conditions. Embark on a guided walking safari, offering an intimate way to discover the Miombo woodland environment while learning about animal tracks, plants, birds, and smaller creatures from your experienced guide.
Alternatively, enjoy an exciting boating safari along the waterways of Nyerere. The water provides a unique perspective of the park, allowing you to observe hippos and crocodiles, birds, and wildlife gathering along the banks to drink.
For those interested in fishing, catch-and-release fishing can also be arranged, providing a peaceful way to enjoy the surrounding wilderness.
Return to camp for lunch and some time to relax before another afternoon activity or game drive. As evening falls, enjoy dinner and another peaceful night in the heart of the Nyerere wilderness.

After breakfast, continue exploring the spectacular landscapes and wildlife of Nyerere National Park.
Enjoy a morning game drive in search of the park’s diverse wildlife.
Later, return to camp for lunch and relaxation. You may choose to spend the afternoon enjoying another game drive or experience the park from a completely different perspective on a boating safari.
The waterways around Roho ya Selous provide exceptional opportunities for bird watching and wildlife photography, with animals frequently gathering close to the water.
Return to camp in the evening, enjoy dinner, and spend your final night at Roho ya Selous surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

After breakfast, say goodbye to the beautiful landscapes of Nyerere National Park as you board a light aircraft for your flight to Ruaha National Park.
Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and begin a scenic game drive towards Jabali Ridge. Perched on a rocky kopje overlooking the surrounding wilderness and baobab forests, Jabali Ridge offers a spectacular setting from which to experience Ruaha.
As you make your way to camp, keep watch for wildlife along the route. Ruaha is renowned for its remarkable wildlife diversity, including large herds of elephant and buffalo, lions, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, antelope and African wild dog.
Upon arrival at the camp, settle into your luxurious suite and enjoy lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing around the infinity pool or take an afternoon game drive to begin discovering Ruaha’s unique wilderness.
Later, return to camp for drinks, dinner, and a peaceful evening beneath the African sky.

After an early breakfast, set out for a fascinating walking safari through the Ruaha wilderness.
Walking through the bush provides a completely different safari experience, allowing you to appreciate the smaller details of the ecosystem while learning about animal tracks, plants, insects, birds, and the behaviour of wildlife from your experienced guide.
Later, return to camp for lunch and some time to relax. You may spend the afternoon beside the infinity pool, enjoy the beautiful views from the rocky kopje, or choose an afternoon game drive.
Ruaha is particularly famous for its impressive elephant population and its exceptional walking-safari opportunities.
As evening approaches, return to Jabali Ridge for sundowners and dinner. Depending on conditions and your preference, you may also have the opportunity to enjoy a night game drive, offering a chance to discover some of the park’s nocturnal wildlife.

Today is dedicated to discovering more of Ruaha National Park.
After breakfast, choose between a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch or a relaxed morning at camp followed by an afternoon game drive.
A full-day safari provides an excellent opportunity to venture deeper into the park in search of its spectacular wildlife. Look out for elephant herds, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, wild dog and the many antelope species that inhabit the park.
Alternatively, enjoy a slower morning at Jabali Ridge, perhaps relaxing beside the infinity pool or enjoying a rejuvenating treatment at the spa before heading out for an afternoon safari. The camp offers flexible activities designed around guests’ preferences.
As night falls, enjoy your favourite drinks followed by a delicious dinner while taking in the breathtaking surroundings of Ruaha.

After breakfast, pack your bags and prepare for your departure from the magnificent wilderness of Ruaha National Park.
Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy your final moments at Jabali Ridge before transferring to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight back to Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.
As you fly over Ruaha, enjoy one final spectacular view of the park’s vast wilderness, ancient baobab trees, valleys, and plains below. A packed lunch from Jabali Ridge will be provided for your journey.
